The origin of this winery dates from 1916, when Juan Gil Giménez, great-grandfather of the present generation, started getting involved in the world of wine, building a winery in the heart of Jumilla, SPAIN. His son and grandsons forged an image of quality, efficiency and reliability which the present generation is trying to maintain and improve as much as possible. It is after these men that the most emblematic trademark of this new period is called “JUAN GIL”.
Bodegas JUAN GIL owns about 400 Has of vineyards, located between 700 and 850 m above sea level,  MONASTRELL is the main grape variety with about 85% of the vineyards, other varieties are CABERNET SAUVIGNON, SYRAH, MERLOT & PETIT VERDOT
