The activities of Casa de la Ermita commenced in 1999, with Marcial Martínez Cruz, an experienced winemaker, as technical director. Our winery has a very clear goal: to produce a world class wine and build up a long term powerful brand. In only 10 years, Casa de la Ermita has become the reference for the Jumilla wines, selling up to 130.000 cases per year in 32 countries. This spectacular performance is due to 3 main reasons :A perfect knowledge of the terrain, climate conditions and growing process. Innovation in winemaking, using the local grape, “Monastrell”, and introducing new varieties in Jumilla such as the “Petit Verdot” and “Viognier”.
